Nari Road, Nagpur on Thursday. A special Buddha Vandana was organised on this occasion. Sanjay Patil, Kunal Patil, Kunal Mesharam, Bhaskar Kawade, Ashish Shende, Parag Shende, Harish Patil , Bahujan Vanchi Aghadi Ward Adhyaksh Nagpur Meshram Saheb, Kalpana Newhare, and all their families were present and participated in the Buddha Vandana. They all pay Maitri Bhawana to the Wolrd's People for peace.
On the occasion of Vaishakh Pournima, the 2582nd birth anniversary of Lord Gautam Buddha was celebrated at Dragon Palace temple in Kamptee on Thursday. A special Buddha Vandana was organised on this occasion. Founder of Dragon Palace Temple and member of National Minorities Commission, Adv Sulekha Kumbhare participated in the Buddha Vandana. In the background of COVID-19 pandemic, entry was not allowed in the temple premises. With selected staff members of the temple a special Buddha Vandana was held. Adv Sulekha Kumbhare stated, Tathagat Bhagwan Gautam Buddha had given Dhamma to the entire world which is based on the principles of peace, non-violence, love, compassion and humanity. People should follow these principles and celebrate Buddha Pournima at their residences, she added. The campaign to distribute one lakh masks was also concluded on Buddha Pournima.
On the occasion of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Jayanti, Adv Sulekha Kumbhare had started the campaign to distribute one lakh masks. The masks are prepared by the women in Dadasaheb Kumbhare Bahuuddeshiya Training Centre. The masks were distributed to doctors, nurses, sanitation workers, police personnel, and 10,000 masks for each institution were distributed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH); Mayo Hospital, Police Commissioner’s office, etc., on the occasion of Maharashtra Day.
The campaign was concluded after completing the target of one lakh masks. Deekshabhoomi Smarak Samiti Samiti President, Bhadant Arya Nagarjun Shurei Sasai conducted a special Buddha Vandana at Deekshabhoomi premises and delivered discourses. Member of committee, Vilas Gajghate said that the Buddha Dhamma had a strong foundation of science. The scientific advancements are helping us to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The compassion of Buddha Dhamma would help the society to get rid of coronavirus, he added. Bhante Sugat Bodhi, Siddhartha Mhaiskar, Nilu Bhagat, Papa Moon, Vijay Gajbhiye and others were also present. Nagpur City District Congress Committee Ajay Godbole, General Secretary of block no 12 of Congress committee conducted Buddha Vandana programme at Faras Chowk in Zingabai Takli. The members also distributed food grain kits to needy and poor. Rajesh Mahalle, Yogesh Pete, Pavan Dhone, Avinash Bansod, Vinod Ambadare, Rahul Chauhan worked hard for the success. Dr Ambedkar and Gautam Buddha Sanyukta Jayanti Samiti On the occasion of Buddha Jayanti, members of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and Tathagat Gautam Buddha Sanyukta Jayanti Samiti garlanded the statue of Gautam Buddha and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar at Untkhana. Panchsheel flag hoisting was also held followed by distribution of sweets and Buddha Vandana. Rajendra Sathe, Nalanda Ganveer, Sanjay Ambhore, Sahadev Bhagat, Chandu Khobragade, Arun Sakharkar, Vitthalrao Kombade, Rajesh Dhengre, Nitin Shambharkar, Anusaya Dhakne and others were also present.
