विविध राज्यातील परिवहनमंत्र्यांशी गडकरींची चर्चा


 Sanjay Patil : Nagpur : Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has called for urgent action to facilitate inter-State border movements of trucks/lorries carrying essential goods to ease public life during COVID 19 pandemic. Gadkari was interacting with Transport Ministers of States and Union Territories on Tuesday from Nagpur through video conferencing. Gadkari said, “It needs to be given urgent attention by facilitating the truck/Lorry movement, to ease up lives of the public in the light lockdown announced to curb COVID-19 pandemic.” Gadkari urged the Ministers to intervene in such matters and ensure resolutions through the local/district administrations.
At the same time, he underlined following the health advisories and other guideline like proper distance, wearing masks, use of sanitizers, both by the driver/cleaners and also at the Dhabaas. Gadkari further pointed out, “Transportation of labour to factories etc may be facilitated by duly following the health protocols of maintaining minimum one metre distance, wearing masks, use of sanitizers, etc. Providing food and shelter to labour may be ensured fully observing the norms of social distancing and hygiene.” Responding to a suggestion Gadkari informed the Ministers of State, about the initiative of his Ministry regarding starting of a helpline to resolve the transportation issues.
General (Retd) V K Singh, Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways was present. Apart from the Transport and PWD Ministers/Deputy Chief Ministers, Chief Ministers of Mizoram, Himachal Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh also attended along with Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, senior officers of the Ministry, NHAI, NHIDCL. Gadkari pointed out that he was according top priority to the development of road/highway infrastructure and is planning to enhance national highway construction by 2 to 3 times of the present pace in next couple of years. He urged the States/UTs to expedite land acquisition as delays hamper the pace of development and asked the them to utilise funds which are remaining unused to the extent of about Rs 24-2500 crore.
Calling for speedier decision making, Gadkari said, “This is critical for accelerated economic development to make India an Economic Super Power and 5 trillion economy. The transport facilities/ infrastructure serves as the backbone. Ministers should personally monitor the process of decision making to ensure that projects do not become victim of red-tape.” Gadkari suggested that State Transport Ministers should explore operationalising App-based two-wheeler taxis especially in rural areas to assist farming communities with smoother movement.
This will also provide new employment opportunities. They may also try to shift public transport to LNG/CNG, e-vehicles which will bring considerable savings on fuel bills and will help the environment being less/zero polluting fuels. Everybody echoed the sentiments expressed by Nitin Gadkari and requested that national highway projects in their Sates/UTs may be expedited. They assured full support in this regard. References were made to the specific projects pending in the States/UTs. The work being done by the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways under Gadkari and General (Retd) V K Singh came in especial praise.
A presentation was made showing the works being carried during the lockdown period. It was stated that 1315 projects covering 49,,238 kms worth Rs 5,89,648 crore were under progress, of which 819 projects covering 30,301 kms costing about Rs 3,06,250 crore were delayed. It also showed State-specific issues like pending land acquisition, environment clearance etc which have been delaying the project implementation. The participating States were suggested to take definitive steps towards mitigating the difficulties before the Highways sector. States/UTs urged expediting land acquisition and utilise funds of about Rs 25,000 crore allocated for the purpose to help regain momentum in road construction through land acquisition.


जीवनावश्यक वस्तूंची वाहतूक थांबू न देण्याच्या सूचना

संजय पाटील : दुसऱ्या टप्प्यातील टाळेबंदीची मुदत ३ मे रोजी संपत आहे. या पार्श्वभूमीवर केंद्रीय परिवहन व सूक्ष्म, लघू व मध्यम उद्योग मंत्री नितीन गडकरी यांनी मंगळवारी देशातील विविध राज्यांच्या  परिवहन मंत्र्यांशी व्हिडीओ कॉन्फरसिंगद्वारे संवाद साधत राज्यातील स्थितीचा आढावा घेतला. जीवनावश्यक वस्तूंची मालवाहतूक थांबू नये यासाठी प्रयत्न करण्याचे आवाहन गडकरी यांनी यावेळी केले.
करोनाची साथ देशात जोर धरू लागल्यावर केंद्र सरकारने टाळेबंदी जाहीर केली. १४ तारखेला टाळेबंदीची मुदत संपत असताना त्याला ३ मे पर्यंत मुदतवाढ देण्यात आली. दरम्यान २० एप्रिलपासून अंशत: उद्योग सुरू करण्यास केंद्र शासनाने परवानगी दिली. या दरम्यान गडकरी हे रोज त्यांच्या खात्याशी संबंधित अधिकाऱ्यांशी विविध राज्यातील मंत्र्यांशी तसेच स्थानिक नागरिकांशी संवाद साधत आहेत. व्हिडीओ कॉन्फरसिंगच्या माध्यमातून विविध लघू, मध्यम व सूक्ष्म उद्योजकासह विविध व्यावसायिकांच्या बैठका घेत आहेत. याच मालिकेत त्यांनी विविध राज्यातील परिवहनमंत्र्यांशी संवाद साधला. संबंधित राज्यातील परिस्थितीची माहिती घेतली. जीवनावश्यक वस्तूंच्या मालवाहतुकीत खंड पडू नये. एका राज्यातून दुसऱ्या राज्यात दळवळण सेवा देताना त्यात मालवाहतुकीवर लक्ष केंद्रित करून कुठेही अडचणी येणार नाही याची काळजी घेण्याचेही आवाहन त्यांनी केले.
